Lok Sabha Elections: Congress leader Arvinder Singh Lovely has joined BJP. Along with him, a total of five leaders took membership of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Lovely had resigned from the post of Delhi Congress chief on Sunday this week. On the question of joining any other party, he said that he has only resigned from the post of Congress Delhi chief. He is not leaving the party and is not going anywhere. However, within a week, contrary to his statement, he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party.

After joining BJP, Lovely said, "We will contribute to ending the atmosphere that has been created in Delhi for the last seven-eight years and hoisting the BJP flag in Delhi. We will have to fight for the people of Delhi under the banner of BJP and the leadership of the Prime Minister." I have full confidence that BJP government will be formed in the country with huge majority.

Amit Malik also joins BJP

After Arvinder Singh Lovely left the post of state president, two other Congress leaders had resigned. Former MLAs Neeraj Basoya and Naseeb Singh had resigned from the party objecting to the alliance between Congress and Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi. Along with these two leaders, Rajkumar Chauhan and Amit Malik have also joined BJP.

Why did Lovely resign?

After resigning, Arvinder Singh Lovely addressed the media and said that I have not given it for myself. I have given this resignation for the Congress workers. He said that if my resignation has been accepted then thanks to Bavaria ji. Regarding joining any other party, he said that I am not going to join any other party. He said that the Congress workers did not say that we have given a clean chit to the present Kejriwal government. He said that I have sent the pain of my heart and the pain of all the Congress workers of Delhi to the National President of the Congress Party. My pain is about principles.

Congress reaction

On Arvinder Singh Lovely joining BJP, Delhi Congress interim president Devendra Yadav said, "The nature of some people is such that when the father needs the most, the son troubles him the most. Who is Arvinder Lovely?

In 1998, 30-year-old Lovely became the youngest MLA of Delhi. He was also the youngest minister of the state in the Sheila Dikshit government. During the tenure of Sheila Dikshit, she got important ministries like education, transport and urban development. As soon as Lovely was the minister, a new and better system was introduced in place of Blue Line buses. During his tenure as minister, Delhi became the first state to implement 25 percent reservation in private schools for economically weaker children. In 2013, Congress had to face defeat under his leadership. However, he supported the Aam Aadmi Party. Congress suffered a crushing defeat in 2015. In 2017 he joined BJP. Returned to Congress again in 2018. Now he has again left Congress and joined BJP.
