IPL 2024: In the 17th season of IPL, if any one captain has faced the most criticism so far due to his team and his own performance, it is none other than all-rounder Hardik Pandya. For this season of IPL, when Mumbai Indians decided to make Hardik the captain in place of Rohit Sharma, the franchise had to face constant criticism from the fans and the team's performance has also been disappointing. Now South African veteran player AB de Villiers has raised a big question on Hardik Pandya's way of captaining, in which he has said that there is arrogance in Pandya's way of captaining.

Hardik considers himself cool like Dhoni

AB de Villiers, while talking on his YouTube channel, criticized Hardik Pandya and said that his way of captaining looks very brave. In a way, there is a glimpse of arrogance in this. I don't think he really is the way he tries to be on the field. However, he has decided that this is his way of captaincy. He tries to show himself to be calm and composed like Dhoni but it is not so at all. In reality this is not the case at all. When you were the captain of Gujarat Titans team, there were a lot of young players present there and in such a situation, players who do not have experience can follow this kind of leadership, but in Mumbai Indians there are many such players who were with you earlier. He has also played and in such a situation, this kind of captaincy with him is not right at all.

We don't need to brag

Along with criticizing Hardik Pandya, AB de Villiers further said that I am not liking Hardik as a captain, I like watching him play. There are experienced players like Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah in the team, so you just need to remain calm and not show yourself big in front of all of them. Let us tell you that this is not the first time that Hardik has faced criticism because of his captaincy style, even before this some former veterans have raised questions on his leadership style.
