New Delhi : A day after Lok Sabha Speaker Om Prakash Birla took action against four Congress MPs, 19 opposition MPs were suspended from the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday. Amid the opposition's protest against the government over inflation, 23 MPs have now been barred from attending the proceedings of the Monsoon session in both the Houses of Parliament.

With the commencement of proceedings in the Upper House on Tuesday, opposition MPs started registering their protest over inflation. The opposition MPs came very close to the Well, raising slogans inside the House. Opposition MPs were repeatedly urged by the Chairman to sit on their seats. According to the information, for non-compliance, the Chairman took action against the MPs of the opposition and suspended them from the proceedings of the House for a week.

Trinamool MPs Sushmita Dev, Mausam Noor, Dr Shantanu Sen, Dola Sen, Shantanu Sen, Nadimal Haque, Abhi Ranjan Biswas and Shanta Chhetri are Trinamool Congress MPs who have been suspended. CPI(M)'s A.A. Rahim, Mohammad Abdullah of the Left and Kanimozhi of the DMK are also involved.

Action on four Congress MPs in Lok Sabha

Let us inform that a day earlier, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Prakash Birla had also taken action against four Congress MPs for indecent behavior during the proceedings of the Lower House. In two days 23 opposition MPs have been suspended from the proceedings of the House.
