New Delhi: As India looks on the first part of a national lockdown ending, amid rumours of a countrywide extension, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare’s Joint Secretary Lav Agarwal said that 141 novel coronavirus patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, which stands as the highest number of recoveries in a day so far.

This comes in as a great positive news as the past few days have seen Indian authorities identify serious zones (red) and contained multiple areas where the susceptibility of infection is high.

Secy Agarwal further said that 796 cases and 35 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, however the total tally of recovered patients is at 857.
