Delhi / Air quality in Delhi again at critical level, above AQI 500 in many areas

New Delhi: The air quality reached a critical level in the capital on Friday morning. In many areas of Delhi-NCR, the Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded above 500. It is considered a serious condition of air pollution. The holiday was declared on 14 and 15 November in schools in Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad.

According to Pollution Control Board data, the levels of pollutants particulate PM2.5 and PM10 are higher than 501 in Delhi's Lodhi Road area. Similarly, the PM2.5 level in ITO area was also recorded at 490. Amidst the mist and smog around Lodhi Gardens and AIIMS, people were seen walking the morning.

The Standard

Air Quality Index (AQI) of the air quality index is 'better' between 0-50, 'satisfactory' between 51-100, 'normal' between 101 and 200, 'bad' between 201 and 300, 301 to. Between 400 and 'very poor' and between 401 and 500 are considered 'severe'. At the same time, the level of PM 10 in the air should not exceed 100 and PM 2.5 60 micrograms per meter.

Oxygen is reduced at 400 AQI
