Actor Ananya Panday says that she considers actor Shah Rukh Khan as her second dad. She made her Bollywood debut with Karan Johar’s production, Student of the Year 2, this year.Speaking to Filmfare, Ananya said that she has spent a lot of her childhood around Shah Rukh. The actor is often seen with Suhana and Shanaya Kapoor, daughter of actor Sanjay Kapoor.
Two days back, a cute video of Ananya and AbRam, the youngest child of Shah Rukh, went viral where Ananya is asking AbRam to touch his nose with his tongue. As the two attempt to do so, while Ananya succeeds in doing so, AbRam fails. After few seconds, he runs away from the camera.
Ananya, who is the daughter of actor Chunky Pandey, has always accepted that as a star kid she has several advantages that others who are trying for a career in the film industry don’t enjoy. However, she has also said that it is unfair to say that she can’t dream because she comes from a ‘certain family’.
Ananya says it was always her dream to try her luck in films. “I am 20 and this was my dream all my life. So, it’s not fair for people to say that I am not allowed to have a dream because I belong from a certain family,” she told IANS.
She, however, agrees that nepotism exists in Bollywood. “But it exists in all industries, not just our (Bollywood) industry. I am very lucky that I got this chance and audition... I feel internally, I will never be feeling guilty in anyway because I auditioned for the movie twice. I was work-shopping with Punit (Malhotra) for a year after that. So, from inside I worked for this and I don’t have that guilt in me,” the actor said.
She is also happy that she bagged her second film Pati, Patni Aur Woh on the basis of her talent. “After SOTY 2, they (makers of Pati...) saw me and that’s why they wanted me in the film. So, when I know that people are appreciating my work and that is why they want to give me more work, that is a good feeling for me to have in the inside,” she said.
