Rajasthan | Amidst the discussion of cabinet expansion in the state, senior Congress MLA from Sardarshahr Bhanwarlal Sharma on Tuesday lauded Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and expressed his faith in his leadership. He said that the 'second wave' of politics in the state will gradually cool down. Along with this, he said that Gehlot being the Chief Minister is a senior leader and everyone including Pilot will have to consider him as a leader.

It is noteworthy that Sharma was also among the 19 MLAs who took a rebellious stand against Gehlot's leadership about a year ago. "I consider Sachin Pilot as a leader, Ashok Gehlot ji is above him," Sharma told reporters here. If he is the Chief Minister, then he has to be considered a leader. Sachin ji will also have to consider him as a leader. Sharma's statement has come at a time when there is a stir in the state for cabinet expansion and political appointments.

Second wave of politics will be cold

On the damage caused by the "second wave" of politics in the state, he said, "This second wave will gradually cool down. On the desire of some MLAs to become ministers, he said, "They have a desire to become a minister, I had a desire to become the chief minister, but sometimes the desires have to be suppressed." It is noteworthy that earlier MLAs of Pilot camp Indraj Gurjar and PR Meena have also praised Chief Minister Gehlot for the development works. Praising Chief Minister Gehlot, he said, "The situation of Corona has been well controlled by the Chief Minister. In my understanding, Rajasthan is number one in combating Corona. The Chief Minister also fought for the announcement of free vaccination for all and the credit goes to him.

We should unite and fight against BJP.

He said that in such a situation, Congress workers should unite and fight the BJP without getting into any power struggle so that the Congress comes back in the state. About the pilot, he said, "I respect the pilot. He is a youth leader and he never said make me this, make that. He definitely defended the people with him. I think some small people have come to big posts which is going to harm the party. However, he did not name anyone.

Alleged speculations about the phone being tapped dismissed

He said that he is talking to Congress workers including Pilot and Gehlot. Simultaneously, Sharma dismissed the alleged speculations that the phones of the MLAs were being tapped. It may be mentioned that during the political upheaval last year, the Congress had suspended Sharma from the party for a few days after his name appeared in the alleged audio tape. He said that committees and commissions of inquiry are formed to put the matter in cold storage. Nothing is going to happen at the moment.
