These include Mohd Iqbal, Ward 76, Matia Mahal, Amil Malik, Karawal Nagar, Ward 246, Raminder Kaur, Ward 100, Hari Nagar, Mohini, Ward 218, Seemapuri, Sarika Chowdhary, Ward 142, Jangpura and Patel Nagar. The name of ward 86 councilor Shaili Oberoi was discussed. Then the name of Shaili Oberoi as MCD Mayor candidate and Mohammad Iqbal for Deputy Mayor was fixed.

Apart from this, Amil Malik, Raminder Kaur, Mohini and Sarika Chaudhary have been given place in the Standing Committee. These names were also discussed to make mayor and deputy mayor candidates, but at present they have been given a place in the standing committee. Significantly, AAP defeated the BJP, which had been ruling the MCD for 15 years, in the MCD elections and won an absolute majority. AAP won 134, BJP 104, Congress 9 and independents won 3 wards.
