Apple has big plans for the year 2020. The company is rumoured to launch its first 5G phone and a foldable display phone the same year. It is also expected to ditch its LCD screen to opt for OLED displays in 2020. Besides this, the Cupertino, California based company is also expected to launch new iPhone models in 2020. New report suggests that Apple's 2020 iPhones will come with a new 3D camera.

According to a report by Bloomberg, the 2020 iPhones will come with an enhanced 3D cameras that will feature a longer range and will scan the environment to create a three dimensional image of the real world. Instead of using the dot projection technology that is utilised in the current system, the 3D cameras would use a laser scanner along with a more powerful processor and advanced photo-capturing tools for the purpose.

Sources close to the matter also told the publication that the company is in talks with Sony for providing sensors that would enable the cameras to capture more depth and allow more accurate placement of virtual objects. Apart from iPhones with advanced 3D cameras, Apple is also planning to launch AR sets the same year. However, the exact timeline of launch is not not known at this time.nterestingly, Apple insiders told the publication that Apple was planning to include 3D cameras in the 2019 iteration of iPhone, but it changed its plans to focus on increasing the camera capacity. Apple, as per the report, is likely to launch three new iPhones this year, two of which will be the successor its 2018's iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max and the third will be a successor to the iPhone XR. As far as the camera goes, Apple is planning to include a triple-rear camera setup in its top-end model, the other two devices are also likely to get an upgrade.

Besides this, the company is also planning to include a USB Type-C port instead of a lightning port in its 2019 iPhones. This would make iPhones compatible with dozens of other devices available in the market right now.

Additionally, the company is planning to launch a low-cost model of its iPad with a faster processor and a 10-inch screen and a low-cost variant of its iPad Mini around April this year.
