Major banks in the country allow their customers to make a certain number of transactions free of cost at ATMs every month. The customers are charged for transactions at ATMs over and above these mandated numbers of free transactions. Additionally, banks also charge customers for issuance and annual maintenance of an ATM-cum-debit card. ATM-cum-debit card charges levied by SBI, HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank.
