India got independence in auspicious time

The time of India's independence was greatly influenced by astrology. Hardevji and Suryanarayan Vyas of Ujjain informed Babu Rajendra Prasad, who was to become the first President of India, that the day was astrologically inauspicious when the English authorities decided to grant India independence on August 15, 1947. When they came to know that the English king would. Only let them choose any hour that day, Hardev insisted that it be midnight. Astrological factors were taken into account while deciding the date and time of India's Independence Day, which was fixed at 12:01 PM on 15th August, 1947. At this time the Moon was in a very favorable Pushya Nakshatra. Pushya is considered the king of all the constellations. At midnight, Abhijeet Muhurta, which is an excellent moment to launch any major endeavor, was in effect. At that time, the fixed sign of the Taurus ascendant – which signifies a strong foundation for the nation – was on the rise.

Most of the Indian prime ministers belonged to the water signs.

India has so far seen a total of 15 prime ministers (not taking into account their re-election), most of whom are related to zodiac signs that have a strong water element. Four of these prime ministers – Gulzari Lal Nanda, VP Singh, Chandrashekhar and PV Narasimha Rao – belonged to the Cancer zodiac. The other two, Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi, were of Scorpio and Morarji Desai was of Pisces.

The famous Lal Kitab was compiled in British India during the Second World War

Pandit Roop Chand, a revenue officer in Punjab, British India, wrote the currently available edition of the Lal Kitab from 1939 to 1952. By profession, he worked as an Accounts Officer in the Defense Department of British India and retired in 1954. Lal Kitab is unique in the field of Vedic astrology because for the first time any book explained how the positions of certain planets in one's horoscope should also be reflected in the lines of his/her palm. In other words, this book is on Jyotish-palm, that is, it is a mixture of two different arts of palmistry and astrology. The sections of Lal Kitab were also given red bandhan because these books contain the bookkeeping of one's life. In fact, Lal Kitab says in very clear terms, that any book belonging to this system should be bound in a non-glossy, red colour.

The national calendar of India is luni-solar

The Hindu calendar is known as the Lunar-solar calendar. There are 12 months according to the moon and the year is 354 days long. However, every third year, 33 days are added to form an additional lunar month of 29 days. The remaining four days are adjusted here and there. There are two main calendars in common use in India today, Vikram Samvat with a zero point of 57 BC and Saka Samvat with a zero point of 78 AD. These are used to calculate the dates of all Hindu festivals like Diwali and Holi. The national calendar, based on the Saka era, with Chaitra as the first month and a common year of 365 days, was adopted along with the Gregorian calendar from 22 March 1957.
