Arvind Kejriwal: In view of the increasing pollution in Delhi-NCR, the rules of Grap Stage 3 have been implemented in the capital Delhi. Under this, construction work has been stopped in Delhi. Thousands of people have suddenly become unemployed due to the closure of construction. In view of this, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal made a big announcement on Wednesday. He has announced a financial assistance of Rs 5000 to the laborers working on such construction sites.

Instructions given to Labor Minister

According to the report, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has given instructions to Labor Minister Manish Sisodia in this regard. He has told Manish Sisodia that till the construction work starts again, these laborers should be given the help of 5 thousand rupees every month.

Recently the third phase of GRAP has been implemented

Let us tell you that the quality of air in Delhi-NCR is deteriorating continuously. The Air Quality Index (AQI) here is continuously increasing. In view of the growing threat, the Air Quality Management Commission (CAQM) had banned construction and demolition activities in entire Delhi-NCR, barring a few projects, four days ago. The implementation of Phase III of the Graded Response Action Plan was directed to be implemented with immediate effect to prevent deterioration in air quality. There is a provision to ban construction work in the third phase itself.

Only essential projects are allowed

Under Phase III, authorities have been asked to impose strict restrictions on construction and demolition activities in the NCR, except for essential projects (such as railways, metro, airports, ISBTs, projects related to defense of national security/national importance). Non-polluting activities such as plumbing, carpentry, interior decoration and electrical work. Brick-kilns, hot mix plants and stone crushers not operating on clean fuel and mining and related activities in NCR have also been banned. The CAQM said that in Delhi-NCR, state governments can ban BS III petrol and BS IV diesel four-wheelers under the third phase.
