Coronavirus / Chandigarh cuts down night curfew by 30 mins, curfew now from 11 pm to 5 am

The Chandigarh administration has decided to impose the night curfew from 11 pm to 5 am on all days, changing from the previous 10:30 pm to 5 am. Those tasked with law and order, emergency and municipal services, police and military personnel and media persons are exempted. Manufacturing units and industries will be allowed to remain open during night curfew.

Chandigarh: The Chandigarh administration on Wednesday issued a notification stating that the night curfew has now been imposed between 11:00 pm and 5 am. Earlier, it used to be from 10:30 pm to 5 am.

Chandigarh administration imposed the night curfew between 11:00 pm and 5 am.On Tuesday, the Chandigarh administration had further relaxed Covid-19 lockdown following a continuous decline in cases. All shops will now remain open from 10 am to 8 pm, news agency ANI reported. All restaurants/bars are allowed to remain open with 50% capacity from 10 am to 10.30 pm. Night curfew in the city will be in place from 11 pm to 5 am, the UT administration said.
