Coronavirus / China donates additional $30 mn to WHO amid COVID-19: Spokesperson

China will donate an additional $30 million to the World Health Organization (WHO) to support its global fight against coronavirus pandemic, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said on Thursday. The donation is particularly aimed towards strengthening the health systems in developing countries, she added. Hua further said that China had donated $20 million to the WHO in March.

Hua said on Twitter the donation was aimed in particular at strengthening developing countries' health systems and added that China had already donated $20 million to the WHO in March.
