Bollywood Desk: After ace cricketer and commentator Sunil Gavaskar passed a remark at Virat Kohli's batting during an IPL 2020 match whilst talking about his video with wife Anushka Sharma, the actress on social media slammed him for his statement. "He (Virat Kohli) knows that he can improve by practising harder. During the lockdown, he only practised on Anushka's bowling which is evident from a video that I saw. But that is not going to be enough," he had said. This didn't go down well with Anushka and she retorted via social media. However, now Kangana has called out Anushka accusing her of 'selective feminism'.

On Twitter she wrote, "#Anushka remained quiet when I was threatened and called Haramkhor but today the same misogyny coming to bite her, I condemn the fact that she was dragged in to cricket by #SunilGavaskar but selective feminism is equally uncool." Her next tweet read, "Only a sex starved pervert will find sexual context to #SunilGavaskar’s statement which he made on national television for a woman, he should’ve not mentioned her, but Anushka is playing a cricketer in her next and there are several videos of her practising with her husband." It was Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut who had called Kangana 'haramkhor ladki' in one of his interviews.

Later, cricketer Sunil Gavaskar also gave his opinion on the controversy and stated that his statement was being blown out of proportion. He was quoted saying, "That was the point that was being made. Virat also had no practice and the only practice that they had was when they were seen playing in their building compound and Anushka was bowling to him. That's what I said. That's the only bowling, I have not used any other word. She was bowling to him, that's all. Where am I blaming her? Where am I being sexist in this? I am just stating what was seen in the video which was maybe recorded by somebody in the neighbouring buildings and then put up. That's the only thing I am doing."
