On Tuesday, Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia set tongues wagging after he removed Congress from his bio.

His bio simply read: “Public servant. Cricket enthusiast.” Scindia has been at loggerheads with MP CM Kamal Nath over the last year or so after the former was picked to lead the state.

He told news agency ANI: "A month back I had changed my bio on Twitter. On people's advice I had made my bio shorter. Rumours regarding this are baseless."

The son of Congress stalwart Madhavrao Scindia, Jyotiraditya is often criticised from going against the party line, even though he is believed to be close to Rahul Gandhi.

Meanwhile, Navabharat Times resident editor Sudhir Mishra tweeted that 20 Cong MLAs believed to be close to Scindia were 'missing and unreachable' since two days

He went against the party line on 370 and in October criticised Kamal Nath for not waiving farmer loans. This had led BJP to say, that Scindia ought to leave the party.

His aunt Vasundhara Raje Scindia is a member of the BJP and former CM of Rajasthan. The Scindias have always had clout in Gwalior and Guna in Madhya Pradesh, but Jyotiraditya Scindia faced a humiliating loss in this Lok Sabha polls, the first time the family had lost the Guna seat since 1989.
