Uttar Pradesh | There are assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh next year. Here the Congress has been away from power for a long time. In such a situation, the party wants to return home to its traditional vote bank. The party is trying to win the trust of Dalit, Muslim and Brahmin voters. According to a Dalit leader of the party, following the Corona protocol, small groups will meet influential people of the Dalit community.

Congress wanted to cultivate Dalit voters through Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, but just before the elections, the increasing cases of Corona have thwarted the efforts. The Dalit Conference of the Congress to be held in Kanpur in the second week of January has been postponed for the time being. Channi was also expected to participate in this. After the postponement of the conference, the party is now changing its strategy.

According to the Dalit leader, a team of party leaders is being formed at the district level. The team members will go among the people of the Dalit community and listen to their problems. It is our endeavor that we reach the level of the village. With this, he will tell them that only Congress has given respect to the Dalit community.
