COVID-19 Update / Corona made people under 50 the most victims: AIIMS study

 A All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has said in one of the number of people under 50 years of people who lost life due to coronaVirus infection, rather than people over 65 years old . In this article published in Indian Journal of Critical Care Medicine, death has been analyzed due to the Corona infection of adult patients. The period from April 4, 24 July 2021 has been analyzed for the study.

According to the report of the Hindustan Times, the meaning of AIIMS Studies based on the death of Corona virus infection was to study the causes of death in patients and study clinical epidemiological effects of the epidemic. The patient involved in the study was recruited in the country's dedicated Kovid Centers.

During the period of study, 654 patients were recruited in ICU. Of these, 247 died. In this way total mortality was 37.7 percent.

Later, adult patients involved in the study were divided into different ages, 18 to 50, 51 to 65 and 65 so that the study can be more simple. Studies found that death rates in 18 to 50 age groups were 42.1 percent, while death rate in 51 to 65 people 34.8 percent and death rate in more than 65 years of age 23.1 Staying

According to the study, there were diseases related to hypertension, diabetes and kidneys in the patients of Corona. In these patients, problems were recorded in fever, cough and breathing. Due to the infection, the data was taken from the Data Electronic Medical Report and Patient Daily Progress Chart. Apart from this, ICU's nursing notes were also used.

Another study found that the mortality rate in Patients of Corona virus infection recruited in ICU has been between 8 percent to 66.7 percent. In other countries like America, Spain and Italy, such mortality has also been seen.

Meanwhile, AIIMS director Randeep Gularia said that vaccination against Corona virus epidemic is the safest way to defend. He said that the availability of Corona virus vaccine for children will prove to be milestone in the fight against the epidemic and after that the school will be able to open and outdoor activities.
