Coronavirus / Coronavirus cases in India cross 9,000; death toll surpasses 300

The number of coronavirus cases in India has risen to 9,152, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Monday. Meanwhile, the death toll due to the virus has surged to 308 in the country. Out of all the cases, 7,987 cases are active, while 857 patients have been cured, discharged or migrated till now.

New Delhi: The total number of people confirmed positive for the coronavirus in India has increased to 9,152 while 308 deaths were reported across the country, as per the latest data updated at 8 am today (13 April) by the Health Ministry.

According to the Health Ministry data, the confirmed cases of Covid-19 include 9,080 Indians and 72 foreign nationals.

Additionally, the total number of discharged/cured patients has risen to 856, while one patient has reportedly migrated to Singapore as per the latest data.

The total number of active cases across the country stands at 7,987 at the time of writing this report.
