Coronavirus / Coronavirus cases in India rise to 2,902, death toll reaches 68

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has said that the number of coronavirus cases in India has risen to 2,902, while the death toll has reached 68. The total number of people who have been cured, discharged or migrated stands at 184. On Friday, government announced release of ₹11,092 crore under State Disaster Risk Management Fund to all states.

New Delhi: The total number of people confirmed positive for the coronavirus in India has increased to 2,902, as per the latest data updated at 9.00 am today (4 April) by the Health Ministry.

According to the Health Ministry data, the confirmed cases of Covid-19 include 1,945 Indians and 57 foreign nationals.

Further, the total number of discharged/cured patients has risen to 183, while one patient has reportedly migrated to Singapore as per the latest data.

The total number of deaths due to COVID-19 in India has risen to 68.

The total number of active cases across the country stands at 2,650 at the time of writing this report.
