Corona Vaccine / Covaxin is effective on most variants of Corona Says ICMR

Corona Vaccine: The deadly corona virus cases in the country are reaching record levels day by day. The vaccination campaign against Corona is also going on in the country at a rapid pace and till now more than 130 million people have been given vaccine doses. Meanwhile, big news has come about covaxine. The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has said in its research that the corona vaccine is mostly effective on the variant.

Covaxine may fight different variants of Corona

ICMR has claimed in its research that covicin can fight different variants of the corona. ICMR has stated that this vaccine is also effective in fighting corona's double mutant strains. The vaccine called COVAXIN, made by Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech, is the only indigenously produced vaccine.

Modi government will increase vaccine production capacity

In view of the situation of Corona in India, the Modi government has now stepped up to increase the production capacity of this indigenous vaccine. A provision has been made to provide assistance to accelerate the development and production of indigenously manufactured vaccine through Mission Kovid Security, run under Self-reliant India Mission 3.0. Under this, the Department of Biotechnology of the Central Government has decided to give a grant of Rs 65 crore to Bharat Biotech Company. The money will be used to increase vaccine production capacity at the new Bharat Biotech Center in Bangalore.
