New Delhi : Once again the intimidating speed of Corona in the capital Delhi has also increased the concern of the government. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday said that the cases of Kovid are increasing in Delhi, but there is no need to panic as most of the new cases are of mild nature. Kejriwal said that his government is closely monitoring the situation.

The Chief Minister told reporters that the cases of Kovid are increasing. We are monitoring this and whatever necessary steps will be taken, but most of the cases are mild and there is no need to panic.

According to health department data, on August 8, Delhi recorded 1,372 new cases of corona infection and six deaths and the positivity rate rose to 17.85 per cent, the highest since January 21. The positivity rate on January 21 was 18.04 percent.

Significantly, Delhi had reported 2,423 cases of corona on Sunday, with a positivity rate of 14.97 percent and two deaths. At the same time, 2,311 cases of corona were registered here on Saturday, which included a positivity rate of 13.84 percent and one death.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in Delhi is 7,484, up from 8,048 on the previous day. The bulletin states that 5,650 patients are in home isolation.
