IPL 2021 / Date for the remaining matches of IPL-14, final on 10 October?

The 14th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been braced due to the Corona epidemic. 31 matches of the 14th edition of the world's most famous T20 league are yet to be played. When these matches will be played, the BCCI has not removed the curtain so far. According to the media report, the date for the resumption of IPL-14 can be announced at the special general meeting (SGM) of the BCCI on 29 May. Meanwhile, a few days before the meeting, a BCCI official has given important information.

The official confirmed to 'Sports Today' that the 14th season of the IPL could resume from September 19-20. The remaining 31 matches of the season are likely to be held in the UAE. Negotiations continue between the cricket boards of different countries and the franchises of the IPL.

According to the official, the final match of the tournament can be played on 10 October. The remaining 31 matches of IPL-14 will be played within 21 days. In these 21 days there will be 10 double headers, 7 days a match and 4 play-off matches.

Indian players will reach UAE from England on 15 September. They will stay here for three days in Quarantine. At the same time, players from other countries will directly connect with IPL teams from the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). Let us know that the CPL will be played from August 28 to September 19. It is being said that negotiations are on to end the CPL ahead of schedule.

The five-match Test series between India and England will begin in Nottingham on 4 August. The second Test match will be played on 12 August at the historic ground of Lord's. The third Test match will take place in Leeds on 25 August. The fourth Test will take place at the Oval ground in London from 2 September. The fifth and last Test match will take place in Manchester from 10 September.

India's tour of England will end on 14 September. On September 15, Team India can reach UAE and will have three days of Quarantine. IPL-14 can be re-started from its next day i.e. 19 September.

Let me tell you that the 14th season of IPL was postponed to May 4 after Corona's case came to light in many teams. As of May 2, a total of 29 matches were played. Delhi Capitals are in first place with 6 wins in 8 matches till the IPL-14 is postponed. While Chennai Super Kings is second with 5 matches won. RCB, captained by Virat Kohli, has also won 5 matches and is in third place.

At the same time, if the 14th season of the IPL does not start, then the BCCI could suffer a loss of around Rs 3000 crore. Therefore, BCCI wants to complete the 14th season under any circumstances. It is expected that foreign players will also take part in the IPL due to the preparations for the T20 World Cup.
