New Delhi: There is again a spurt in the cases of corona across the country. More than 17 thousand cases of corona have been reported in the capital Delhi on Friday, while in the financial capital Mumbai also the number of corona cases has crossed 20 thousand. Delhi and Maharashtra are the most affected states by Corona.

More than 20 thousand cases in Mumbai

If we talk about Mumbai, 20971 new cases of corona have been registered here on Friday. Also, there were 8490 corona patients who have been cured. In Mumbai, 6 patients have also died due to corona on Friday. Apart from this, 1395 corona patients are still admitted in hospitals. More than 35 thousand corona beds have been prepared in Mumbai hospitals, out of which 6532 beds are in use.

Due to Corona, more than 123 buildings in Mumbai have been sealed and at present 6 containment zones are active here. On the other hand, about 364 resident doctors have been found corona infected across Maharashtra.

8 months record broken in Delhi

On Friday, 17335 cases of corona have been reported in Delhi, after which the infection rate has reached 17.73 percent. There is a steady increase in the cases of corona in the capital. In the last 24 hours, Delhi has broken the record of about 8 months regarding the Corona case. Since May 8, the capital has reported the highest number of new corona cases. The infection rate is also the highest in about 8 months. The infection rate in Delhi today is the highest since May 11.

Talking about active corona cases, this number has increased to 39,873 which is the highest in about 7 and a half months. Delhi has the most active patients after May 20. 9 patients have died in the last 24 hours and the highest number of deaths in any single day since June 26. There are now 20,695 patients in home isolation in Delhi.

The central government has also issued a new guideline for the purpose of preventing infection. Under this, 7 days home quarantine has been made mandatory for travelers coming from abroad. Along with this, RTPCR test has also become necessary on the eighth day. In view of the increasing cases of Corona and new variants, it has been decided to increase the restrictions on international passengers. This guideline of the Center will be implemented from January 11.
