For the last few days, more than 2 thousand cases of corona are also being registered daily. The number of people hospitalized after corona infection has also increased. Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena tweeted and urged people to follow the protocol related to Corona. The Health Department warned that you must wear a mask and keep following the corona rules. Meanwhile, the Delhi government has started the process of fines for not wearing masks in public places. The increasing cases of corona in Delhi have also increased the concern of the Center.

Health expert Dr. Sunila Garg says that although the recovery rate from corona is good, but the cases are increasing and the number of patients admitted to the hospital has increased. There are currently more than 9,000 Covid beds admitted in Delhi. Out of 2,129 ICU beds, 20 patients are admitted while 65 patients are on ventilators. Although he said that there is a need to panic, but there is a need to be careful.

According to data shared by the health department, Delhi recorded 1,227 new Covid-19 cases on Monday with a positivity rate of 14.57 per cent along with eight deaths. Earlier, Delhi had recorded over 2,000 cases daily for the last 12 days. There were 2,162 corona cases and five deaths in the capital on Sunday. A day earlier, nine deaths were recorded with 2,031 new cases. On 12 August, there were 10 deaths due to corona in Delhi, which was the highest in six months. The positivity rate stood at 15.02 per cent with 2,136 cases on the same day. On February 13, 12 deaths were recorded due to corona.

Significantly, on January 13, 28,867 new cases of corona were registered in the capital Delhi. Which was the all-time highest in Delhi. While the positivity rate of 30.6 percent was recorded.
