New Delhi: The outbreak of the second wave of Coronavirus in India has started decreasing gradually and there has been a big reduction in new cases, but in the meantime the new variant of Kovid-19 Delta Plus (Covid-19 Delta Plus). So far 40 cases of Coronavirus Delta Plus variant in India have been reported and it has reached 8 states and union territories. According to the Hindustan Times report, Maharashtra has recorded the maximum number of cases of the Delta Plus variant and 21 people have been infected so far. Apart from this, six cases have been reported in Madhya Pradesh, three each in Kerala and Tamil Nadu, two in Karnataka and one each in Punjab, Andhra Pradesh and Jammu.

Woman infected with Delta Plus variant dies in Madhya Pradesh

According to the report, in Ujjain district of Madhya Pradesh, two people have been confirmed to be infected with the Delta Plus variant of the corona virus, out of which one woman has died on 23 May. It is being told that the woman had not yet got the vaccine. While another woman despite being infected with the delta plus variant has now recovered and is completely healthy.

Corona's Delta Plus variant raised concerns

The Delta Plus variant of the coronavirus has raised concerns. The Union Health Ministry said on Wednesday that it has been classified as 'Concern Form' (VOC). Apart from Delta, all other variants of Delta including Delta Plus have also been categorized as VOC, the ministry said. Along with this, Maharashtra, Kerala and Madhya Pradesh have been advised to increase vigilance and take appropriate public health measures.

According to the data of Worldometer, so far 3 crore 82 thousand 169 people have been infected with Coronavirus in India, out of which 3 lakh 92 thousand 14 people have lost their lives due to this epidemic, while 2 Crore 90 lakh 56 thousand 609 people have also been cured. There are 6 lakh 33 thousand 546 active cases of Kovid-19 in the country.
