West Bengal | The man who slapped Abhishek Banerjee, the nephew of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee during an event in West Bengal in 2015, has died. BJP's Debashish Acharya, who once slapped Abhishek Banerjee, died mysteriously on Thursday. It is being told that some unknown people took him to the hospital and after some time he was declared brought dead. The family has called it a murder.

In the early hours of Thursday, Devashish Acharya was taken to the Tamluk District Hospital in Midnapore in a critically injured condition. Hospital records show that he was brought in at 4.10 am by some unidentified people, who soon left. He died in the afternoon. When his family came to know about the mysterious death on reaching the hospital, they claimed that Devashish had been murdered.

According to media reports, BJP leaders have now raised questions on the death of Devashish Acharya. Let us tell you that Devashish had joined BJP in 2020. In their preliminary investigation, the police found that Devashish Acharya had gone out with two of his friends on the evening of June 16. He had also stopped at the tea stall and left suddenly.

Let us tell you that Debashish Acharya first made headlines in 2015 when he slapped Abhishek Banerjee in a public meeting in a political program. However, after this he was thrashed by TMC supporters. He was also arrested by the police, but was released on the intervention of Abhishek Banerjee.
