Lok Sabha / EC may not bar Sadhvi Pragya from contesting Lok Sabha poll from Bhopal

The Election Commission may not bar Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, BJP candidate from Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal, from contesting in the Lok Sabha election. Political analyst Tehseen Poonawalla had approached the EC, seeking a ban against Thakur contesting poll over alleged terror charges against her. Thakur joined BJP earlier this week and was named as the party candidate from Bhopal parliamentary seat.
