Girl's side accused of demanding dowry

According to the report of Live Hindustan, a procession came on Sunday from Majhola in Moradabad in Basant Vihar area of ​​Gajraula in Amroha district. The girl's allegation that during Jaimala, the boys demanded one lakh cash and bullets in dowry. The girl's relatives say that after refusing to marry over dowry, the ruckus started and there was chaos in the marriage ceremony.

The groom's side said - the dispute started after the fan fell

The people of the groom's side termed the allegation of dowry as false and said that the dispute started after the fan in the pandal fell. There was an altercation for some time about this and people from both the sides started throwing chairs and tables at each other, injuring 15 people. The groom's side accused the girl's side of robbing gold coils and cash.

The groom refused to marry after the incident

After the incident, the police reached the spot, pacified the matter and also tried to compromise between the two parties, but the angry groom refused to marry. After this, late night the baratis returned without the bride and all the preparations made for the wedding were also stopped.

SSI Pramod Kumar Pathak told that the marriage of Payal, daughter of Govind Singh, resident of Basant Vihar, Gajraula, was fixed with Sourav, son of retired PAC constable Kevan Singh, resident of Kanshiram Colony of Majhola police station area of ​​Moradabad. On Sunday, during the Jaimala, a dispute started in both the sides over something and then about 15 people were injured in the fight. Tahrir has been received from both the sides and a report will be filed after investigation.
