China : The video of the Galwan clash was shown at the 20th Congress of the ruling Communist Party of China. Also, in the CPC meeting, Chinese military commander Qi Fabao joined the 304 delegates from the PLA. Fabao was injured in a clash with Indian troops in the Galwan Valley in June 2020. Video footage of the Galwan clashes, which included Qi Fabao, was played on big screens before Xi and other leaders reached the 'Great Hall of People' at the venue.

Considering the situation of confrontation in eastern Ladakh from 2020, President Xi Jinping's plan also seems to be of consideration for the Indian military forces. The confrontation erupted in May 2020 due to China's attacking actions of the PLA, after which bilateral ties were strained. Both sides have resolved some issues through 16 rounds of talks. The rest have agreed to hold more talks to resolve the pending issues.

What did the video footage show?

In the video footage, Fabao is seen moving towards the Indian Army. This was recorded by the PLA at a time of rising tension along the border, which was widely shared on social media after the Galwan violence. It is known that 20 soldiers of the Indian Army were martyred during the clash. The soldiers of India also gave a befitting reply to the Chinese soldiers. Four Chinese soldiers are claimed to have been killed in the clash.

Will enhance combat preparedness: Jinping

Xi did not name any specific country, referring to the local war and border issues. "We will intensify military training and enhance combat preparedness at every level so that our armed forces fight and win," he said. Achieving the goals of the PLA plenary session in 2027 and bringing China's armed forces to world-class standards more quickly are strategic tasks for building a modern socialist country.

Talk about increasing the number of regional forces

"We will establish a strong system of strategic deterrence, increase the proportion of new regional forces with new combat capabilities," Jinping said. Will accelerate the development of unmanned and combat capabilities and promote the development of network information systems. We will develop a command system for joint operations. Will expand our systems and capabilities for surveillance and rapid warning, joint strikes, cooperation in war zones and integrated logistical support.
