Before the start of the ODI series between India and Sri Lanka, the cases of Corona have forced a reshuffle in the schedule of the series. There was talk of a change in the schedule of the series since the arrival of 2 cases of corona in the Sri Lankan team, but now BCCI chief Sourav Ganguly has also said that the series can be postponed till July 17.

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) chief Sourav Ganguly told news agency ANI that the ODI series between India and Sri Lanka may be postponed till July 17 due to the presence of corona cases in the Sri Lankan camp.

Earlier there was news that due to two members of the Sri Lankan team being found corona positive, the schedule of the series could be changed.

Before the start of the ODI series between India and Sri Lanka, 2 cases of corona were reported in the host team's camp. Sri Lankan team's data analyst GT Niroshan has been found to be Corona positive. The Sri Lanka Board informed on Friday that data analyst GT Niroshan has been infected. Earlier, the team's batting coach Grant Flower was hit by the virus on Thursday. So far 2 members of the host team have turned positive.

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) said in its statement, 'Gt Niroshan, a data analyst for the Sri Lankan national team, has been found to be Corona positive. National players, coaches and support staff were tested for PCR on Thursday after Grant Flower tested positive, in which Niroshan was found positive. According to the statement issued by the board, 'Niroshan is undergoing treatment as per the medical protocol.'

Sri Lanka has to play a six-match white-ball series (three ODIs and three T20s) against Team India, which was to start on July 13, but now it may change. Coach Flower is in strict isolation after returning from England. Coach Flower was infected 48 hours after the Sri Lankan team returned from England.
