Business / Google removes over 200 apps infected by SimBad adware from Play Store

Google has removed over 200 malicious apps from Play Store. These apps were infected by an adware called SimBad. SimBad has been downloaded nearly 150 million times. SimBad would mask itself an authentic advertising software. Google has deleted the affected apps from Play Store. Simbad has the infrastructure to evolve into larger threat. SimBad would not only show ads but also expose other apps to similar infection.
