Gujarat | A 54-year-old woman died after she was hit by a Mumbai-bound Vande Bharat Express train near Anand railway station in Gujarat on Tuesday. The woman has been identified as Beatrice Archibald Peter, an official said here. The accident happened at 4:37 pm when she was crossing the track. Railway Police said that the woman, a resident of Ahmedabad, was going to meet her relative in Anand. The train was going towards Mumbai Central from Gandhinagar Capital station.

An official of the Railway Police said that there is no stoppage of Vande Bharat Express train at Anand railway station in Gujarat. The investigation of the matter is going on. It is to be known that in the last one month, there have been at least three incidents of cattle being killed after being hit by this train. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had flagged off this train on 30 September.
