In such a situation, it is a big challenge to maintain the trend of decline in new cases of Corona between unlocks.

New Delhi: The pace of corona in the country has slowed down a lot. The highest number of cases of corona infection came on May 7 and since then there has been a huge decline of 79 percent in the figures. In such a situation, it is a big challenge to maintain the trend of decline in new cases of Corona between unlocks. During the press briefing on Tuesday, the Health Ministry said that despite the relaxation in the lockdown, we need to avoid gathering in large numbers for a few months.

The Health Ministry has placed a new order for 25 crore doses of Kovishield and 19 crore doses of Covaccine. The government insisted on following anti-Covid practices till the entire population is vaccinated to avoid further waves of the pandemic.

Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Luv Aggarwal said that there were 2 lakh 33 thousand 91 average cases in April 14 to 20, but now from June 2 to 8, the average number is 1 lakh 17 thousand 347. He said that there have been more than 100 case reports in 209 districts. There has also been a steady decline in active cases. The recovery rate has increased to 94.3%. The recovery rate on May 3 was 81.8%. There has also been an increase in sample testing. The positivity rate has come down.

74 crore vaccine advance order

NITI Aayog member Dr. V.K. Paul told on the new vaccination policy that in the new guideline, 75% of the vaccine will be procured by the central government. Free vaccine will be given to the states. He said that if the population, infection status and speed of vaccination are being done in that state and if the wastage of vaccine is less, then that state will be given more doses of vaccine.

Paul said that Covishield has ordered 25 crores and Bharat Biotech has ordered 190 million doses of Covaxin. 30% advance amount has also been given. 74 crore doses have been arranged in advance, in which Bharat Biotech's Covaccine, Serum's Covishield and Biological E's vaccine dose have been booked.
