New Delhi: The Union Health Ministry has said that the delta variant is presently in 80 countries of the world. It is also there in India and it has been kept in the category of 'Variants of Concern'. During the press briefing of the Ministry, Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan told that Delta Plus variants are presently in 9 countries. UK, US, Japan, Russia, India, Portugal, Switzerland, Nepal and China. He said that there are 22 cases of Delta Plus in India and at present it has been kept in the category of 'Variants of Interest'. Cases of Delta Plus variants have been found in Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra. A letter has been written to the states asking how to deal with the Delta Plus variant. We do not want the delta plus variant to go ahead. Experts believe that the delta plus variant can cause the third wave of corona in the country. The Health Secretary said, both India's vaccines Covaccin and Kovishield are effective on delta variants . The Russian vaccine Sputnik V has come late but it has been found on Covishield and Covaxin that both the vaccines are effective on the delta variant.

NITI Aayog member VK Paul told during this that the new wave of corona comes because the virus is circulating. If we are not protected then we are vulnerable. In such a situation, if the virus changes form then there is a problem. It is difficult to predict about this. The virus is happening, we can change the susceptibility through vaccine. He said that if we do not give a chance to the virus, then there will be no problem. In many countries, up to four waves have come. There is no rule regarding Corona web, nothing can be said for sure. In response to another question, he said that the school is a crowd. There will be teachers, children and all the helpers. When there are few more cases and vaccines are in place, it will be easier to open schools. It has two or three ministries involved.

During this, Paul said that elderly people, who have taken both the doses, can take a walk outside but do not go in the crowd. It all depends on what is the health of that person, there should be no problem. In response to the question asked about vaccination, he said that India does whatever it decides to do. In polio, 7-8 crore drops were available in a day. The figure in polio had reached 16-17 crores. If it comes to working on a large scale, then it is done.
