New Delhi / Honda Activa 125 FI BS6 Scooter Launching in India on September 11

Honda 2 Wheeler's India will be launching the new Honda Activa 125 FI BS6 scooter in India by next week. According to the report from AutoCar, the Japanese two-wheeler brand will launch the highly awaited BS6 derivative of 125cc Activa on September 11, 2019. As a reminder, the company showcased the scooter earlier this year in June but reserved its key details such as price, specifications and delivery. Though the details of the Activa 125 are to be disclosed by next week, the key specifications of Honda Activa 125 FI BS6 have been leaked online.

Going by the leaked document, the Activa 125 FI BS6 will measure 1,850 mm in length, 707 mm in width, 1,170 mm in height. Moreover, the wheelbase of the scooter will stand at 1,260 mm. It is important to note that the scooter will be slightly longer, wider and taller than the predecessor.

Mechanically, the Activa 125 will be powered by BS6 compliant 124cc, single-cylinder FI engine that will be tuned to make a maximum power of 8.18 bhp @ 6,500 rpm. The power figures of the BS6 version is slightly lower than the BS4 model.

On the feature front, the new Activa 125 is likely to feature alloy wheels as an option along with disc brake up front, Alternating Current Generator (ACG) and Idle Start-Stop System. As far as the prices are concerned, the new Honda Activa 125 FI BS6 is likely to cost 10 to 15 percent more than the previous model. So expect a starting price of around Rs 65,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
