India / Hyd reports 432 COVID-19 cases on Fri, T'gana's count crosses 1.2L

Hyderabad: In Telangana, surge in the number of Covid-19 cases being recorded every day continues with recording 2751 new cases on a single day yesterday. As per the daily bulletin issued by the state Medical and Health department this morning, 2751 persons tested positive for Coronavirus on conducting about 62 thousand tests during the past 24 hours. With this, the number of total COVID -19 cases reported so far in the state increased to one lakh 20 thousand 166 (1,20,166).

During the same period, 1675 more COVDO -19 patients recovered and were discharged from various Hospitals in the state. With this, the recovery rate in the state stood at 74.3 per cent and a total 89 thousand 350 people recovered from COVID so far.  Meanwhile, 9 more people died yesterday due to COVID and other comorbidities taking the total COVID-19 toll to 808.

Meanwhile, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, where COVID-19 prevalence was more, reported 432 fresh COVID cases during the past 24 hours while, Rangareddy, Medchal Malkajgiri, Karimnagar, Khammam, Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Suryapet and Warangal Urban districts reported above hundred new cases of COVID.
