Auto / Hyundai sales decline 1.6 per cent to 58,805 units in April 2019

Hyundai sold 42,005 units in the domestic market in April 2019. The company witnessed 29.1 per cent growth in export sales to 16,800 units in April 2019. Hyundai Venue will challenge the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport and Mahindra XUV300. Hyundai Venue bookings will start on May 2, with the launch on May 21, 2019. Hyundai had unveiled its upcoming Venue compact SUV in India on April 17. Hyundai Venue is expected to be one of the top five launches of te year.

Several repors have claimed that Hyundai Venue bookings will start on May 2, with the launch on May 21, 2019. Hyundai Venue will be loaded with features, with several of them being a segment first.

Hyundai sold 42hn the figure stood at 46,735 units.

The company witnessed 29.1 per cent growth in export sales to 16,800 units in April 2019. The export sales of Hyundai stood at 13,009 units in April 2018.

At the moment, Hyundai sells nine models in India -- new Santro, Grand i10, Elite i20, Active i20, XCENT, Verna, Elantra, Creta and Tucson.

Upon its launch in India, Hyundai Venue will rival the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport and Mahindra XUV300. Next-gen Hyundai Creta is also expected to be launched in India by 2020.
