We are less than 24 hours away from the Hyundai Venue launch. It will occupy a slot below Hyundai Creta and will be more affordable in terms of pricing. With Venue, Hyundai Motor India will introduce a formidable product in the already-rich compact SUV segment.

On May 6, the first Hyundai Venue was rolled out from the company's manufacturing plant near Chennai. That the upcoming compact SUV has already made numerous fans is confirmed by the fact that it received over 2,000 bookings on the very first day of the start of bookings on May 2.

From the official details available, we know that there are four Hyundai Venue trims -- E, S, SX and SX(O). A total of 13 variants will be available, with eight across petrol options and five for diesel.

Unveiled in India on April 17, Hyundai Venue looks sporty and is feature-rich. Below are all the important details about the compact SUV, before it is finally launched in India on May 21.

Hyundai Venue Price

Hyundai Motor India is expected to price Venue between Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom).

Hyundai Venue Rivals

Hyundai Venue rivals will include Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon and Ford EcoSport. Another opponent will be the recently-launched Mahindra XUV300.

Hyundai Venue Features

The new Venue will have features like projector headlamps with LED DRLs, dark chrome grille, projector type fog lamps, LED tail lamps, and shark fin antenna. There will an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that will be compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The compact SUV boasts of BlueLink connectivity technology. Other features include rear AC vents, air purifier, cruise control and sunroof.

Hyundai Venue Dimensions

The length of Venue will be 3,995 mm. Its width will be 1,770 mm. It will have a height and wheelbase of 1,590 mm and 2,500 mm, respectively.

Hyundai Venue Engine

This is one department in which Venue is very strong. It offers not one, not two, but three engine options. The 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine will deliver 120 PS and 172 Nm of torque. This motor will have a 6-speed manual gearbox and an in-house developed 7-speed double clutch transmission (DCT) option. There will be a 1.2-litre MPI petrol engine producing 83 PS and 115 Nm of torque and this powertrain will be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The diesel option is a 1.4-litre mill churning out 90 PS and 220 Nm of torque. This mill gets a 6-speed manual transmission option.

Hyundai Venue Safety

Hyundai has always taken good care of the safety of its customers. It is no different with Venue that has been built with 69 per cent Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS) and High Strength Steel (HSS). Other safety features include six airbags, ISOFIX, speed sensing auto door lock, BAS (Brake Assist System), HAC (Hill Assist Control), ESC/ESP and VSM (Vehicle Stability Management).
