New Delhi: India's condition is worst in the whole world in terms of coronavirus. In India, about 3 lakh new cases of corona were registered in one day till Wednesday morning. These are the highest figures till date. At the same time, due to the sudden emergence of so many cases under the second wave, hospitals in many states are facing shortage of beds, oxygen and ventilators. In many hospitals, time is not being supplied, so in many places patients are not being admitted on time. Along with the highest number of deaths in the country, the death toll has also been broken. On Wednesday, for the first time in the country, more than 2000 people died in a single day.

  1. In the country, for the first time, 2,95,041 new cases of infection were reported in 24 hours from Corona. The number of active patients has increased to 21 lakh, which is 13.82 percent of the total cases of infection. The recovery rate is also 85.01 percent. Death rate is 1.17 percent.
  2. On Thursday morning, CPI (M) leader Sitaram Yechury has given sad information by tweeting that his elder son has died today from Kovid-19. On his tweet, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Shashi Tharoor and many others have comforted him. This morning Delhi Congress leader Ashok Kumar Walia has also died in Indraprastha Apollo due to Kovid.
  3. Maharashtra is the most affected state in the country. Here on Wednesday, the state government has announced several new restrictions, under which travel will be stopped between cities in the state and from one district to another. These new restrictions will be effective from 8 am on Thursday night to 7 am on May 1.
  4. Let us know that many states including Maharashtra are struggling with lack of medical oxygen. In Nashik, Maharashtra, on Wednesday, 22 patients on ventilator died of asphyxia due to leakage in oxygen storage tank. At the same time, there is a problem in continuous supply of oxygen in many hospitals.
  5. Many hospitals in Delhi are also constantly informing the administration that there is a shortage of oxygen in them. Many hospitals are aware of oxygen supply for just a few hours. This morning, Channidevi Hospital in Delhi had told that by seven o'clock in the morning oxygen supply was exhausted.
  6. On behalf of the hospital, it was said that the supply of oxygen to the Mata Channan Devi Hospital in Janakpuri has ended this morning. About 200+ patients are admitted and need oxygen. We have been continuously talking with companies and officials since last night. Please look into this matter immediately. This is a very serious matter.
  7. NITI Aayog member (health) Dr VK Paul appealed to the states, hospitals and many nursing homes to ensure proper use of oxygen as it is a 'life saver' for corona virus infected patients. The Center has informed that 7,500 metric tonnes of oxygen is being produced in the country and 6,600 metric tonnes of oxygen is being allocated to the states. The Center asked the Union Territories and State Governments to work together to overcome the challenges presented by the epidemic.
  8. Accusations are being witnessed between Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Maharashtra regarding the distribution of oxygen. All these states are demanding to increase their quota oxygen. Delhi has informed that the Central Government has increased its share quota, for which Kejriwal has thanked the Center.
  9. If we talk about Corona figures in Delhi, till Wednesday evening, 24,638 new cases were reported here in 24 hours and the infection rate was 31.28 percent. During this period, the death toll rose to 12,887 with 249 patients dying. There are number of hot spots and 19,624 containment zones across 19 thousand in Delhi.
  10. The number of active corona patients in Delhi is 85,364. The number of home isolation has crossed 42 thousand, the total number of patients in home isolation has been 42,768. The rate of active corona patients was 9.17 percent and the recovery rate was 89.43 percent.
