Coronavirus / Indore records 19 new coronavirus cases

As many as 19 people tested positive for coronavirus in Indore on Tuesday night, Chief Medical Health Officer Dr Praveen Jadiya has stated. Jadiya added, "Six hundred people have been placed in quarantine in Indore." Further, a health official stated that the total number of positive Covid-19 cases in Madhya Pradesh rose to 86.

Indore: Twenty more people tested positive for coronavirus in Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday including a total of 19 new positive cases in Indore. Total tally from Indore has climbed to 63 after 19 new cases emerged in the last 24 hours on Tuesday. One more case was recorded from the neighbouring Khargone district.

Out of the 19 new cases recorded in Indore, 9 have been reported from a single-family which includes three children and six women. A police official from Indore is also among the new coronavirus patients.

As a precautionary measure, the police officials wife and two daughters are also kept in a separate ward of the hospital.

The total number of coronavirus positive cases now stands at 86 in Madhya Pradesh. Five people have died due to COVID-19 till now in the State.

The total number of coronavirus cases in India has risen to 1,397 after 146 new patients were reported in the last 24-hours, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Tuesday.

There are 1,238 active cases and 124 cured. The total figure also includes 35 fatalities.
