Pakistan Politics: Former Pakistan PM Imran Khan said on Wednesday that he has no relation with the current Pakistan Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir. Along with this, he once again targeted former Army Chief Qamar Javed Bajwa. According to The News International newspaper, he claimed that the general elections would be held in April 2023.

The PTI chief accused former army chief General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa of helping the current Pakistan government in ruling the country.

Sharif government targeted

The former PM blamed the current government for the country's economic crisis and said that the economic condition of Pakistan was never like this. He emphasized that fair and transparent elections are the only solution to these problems. Khan said, “The present government led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif came to power through horse trading.”

According to the PTI chief, the coalition rulers put themselves above the law and dropped corruption cases that were registered against them years ago. He said, 'Shahbaz Sharif, Nawaz Sharif, Asif Zardari and Maryam Nawaz, all their cases have been forgiven.'

'Government will have to hold elections in April'

Khan said the PTI sacrificed two assemblies, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab, to move towards free and fair elections, and it would force the government to hold elections in April.

The former PM said, 'Pakistan is stuck in the quagmire. We need free and fair elections to save the country from Sri Lanka-like situation.
