Karnataka | A BJP youth wing worker was murdered in Karnataka's Dakshina Kannada district on Tuesday night. After this, large-scale protests have started in many parts of Karnataka. After the incident, the ruling party is facing anger from its own workers. Many workers are resigning at once in a big way. According to media reports, the youth wing members of BJP have started resigning from the organization in a big way in many parts of Karnataka. He alleges that the BJP-led state government has failed to protect the lives of party workers. Some videos have surfaced in which angry BJP workers have surrounded the car of state BJP President Nalin Kumar Kateel and thrashed him.

According to police, motorcycle-borne killers attacked Praveen Nettaru, a member of BJP's youth wing Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, on Tuesday night. The attack took place when he was returning home on his bike after closing his shop. The killers fled from there after attacking. Local residents informed the police after seeing Nettaru lying on the ground covered in blood. After which the police took 32-year-old Nettaru to the hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Tension with Nupur Connection?

Praveen had shared a social media post on June 29 supporting Kanhaiya Lal. Kanhaiyalal was brutally murdered in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Kanhaiya had reportedly supported the suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma. Praveen defended Kanhaiya Lal in a Facebook post and vented his anger on the jihadis. Now it is being said that Nupur connection could be behind Praveen's murder.

VHP calls bandh in Dakshina Kannada district

Shop owners on Wednesday downed shutters on the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) call for a bandh to protest the killing of a youth wing leader. The VHP has called for a strike in Sulia, Kadba and Puttur taluks. Incidents of stone pelting on government buses have also been reported from some places. A bus going from Puttur to Mangaluru has been damaged in the stone pelting incident in Bolvar.

Meanwhile, the body of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) district committee member Praveen Nettaru was taken to Nettaru in an ambulance by activists of Sangh organisations. The last rites of the young leader will be performed at his native place Netaru. A large number of youth activists belonging to various Hindu organizations gathered on the spot. Security has been beefed up in the communally sensitive district after the murder. The police have formed four different teams to nab the culprits. The incident may give a communal twist to the suspicion of right-wing organizations that the BJP leader was killed in retaliation for the recent murder of a youth belonging to a minority community in the same area.
