Make way for Aamir Khan's upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha (a remake of 1994 Hollywood classic Forrest Gump), which will hit the screens on Christmas, next year. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the release date of the adaptation.
"Mark the date... Aamir Khan's new film #LaalSinghChaddha to release on #Christmas 2020... Stars Aamir in title role... Directed by Advait Chandan... Written by Atul Kulkarni... #Viacom18Movies," the tweet reads.

The actor also revealed that his Rang De Basanti co-star Atul Kulkarni, who has written the script of Laal Singh Chaddha, shared the idea of the adaptation during the shoot of 2006 released film.
"During Rang De Basanti shoot, Atul had shared that Forrest Gump is one of his favourite movies. He approached me with adaptation script later on but I did not take him seriously. I read the script after two and a half years and loved it. After that, I went behind taking the right of the movie," added Aamir Khan.
The film will be directed by filmmaker Advait Chandan, who has earlier worked with the actor in Secret Superstar (2017).
On the work front, Aamir Khan was last seen in Thugs Of Hindostan (2018), which was a massive failure at the box office.
