Rajasthan Politics: A meeting of the Congress Legislature Party has been called amidst the discussions of changing the CM in Rajasthan. This meeting will be held at the residence of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. In this meeting, after the announcement of CM Ashok Gehlot to contest the election of Congress President, the change of leadership will be discussed. For this meeting, the Congress President has made Mallikarjun Kharge and Ajay Maken as observers and in-charges.

CM Ashok Gehlot and both the supervisors have left the hotel for CM residence. Legislature party meeting can start in some time. 25 MLAs including former Deputy CM Sachin Pilot are present at the CM residence. All these are from Sachin Pilot Group and some other MLAs. The rest of the MLAs will come from the house of Minister Shanti Dhariwal for the meeting.

Gehlot camp meeting held at Shanti Dhariwal's house

On the previous day, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had said that he is contesting the election of Congress President. He had said that Sonia Gandhi would decide on his successor. Before this meeting, a meeting of MLAs has also been held at the house of Minister Shanti Dhariwal, close to Ashok Gehlot. Legislature party meeting has been delayed due to this meeting. Earlier the meeting of the legislature party was to start from 7 o'clock. About 65 MLAs of Gehlot faction were present in the meeting held at Shanti Dhariwal's house.

Not agreeing to the name of Sachin Pilot

According to sources, in this meeting, the MLAs have said that if CM Ashok Gehlot goes to the center as Congress President and resigns from the post of Chief Minister, then the new CM should be made from amongst the 102 MLAs who follow Pilot's position. He stood with the Congress during the attempt to topple the government. In the name of Sachin Pilot, the Gehlot camp has descended on the rebellion.
