Samajwadi Party: As polling began on Monday morning for the high-profile Mainpuri Lok Sabha bypoll, Samajwadi Party (SP) leaders turned up to cast their votes, claiming party candidate Dimple Yadav got 'three times more' than Mulayam Singh Yadav. SP MP Ram Gopal Yadav cast his vote in Saifai of Etawah. "Dimple Yadav (the party's candidate for the bypoll) will win with three times more votes than Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav) got," he said. Akhilesh Yadav and Dimple Yadav will also vote later in Saifai.

'BJP goons pushed SP agents'

Ram Gopal Yadav further alleged that BJP goons came to the power house in Mainpuri and pushed the SP agents. He alleged, 'In Mainpuri, agents are not being allowed at booths 141, 142, 143, 144, 145, 146. We spoke to the returning officer, I will find out later whether permission was granted. Similarly, BJP goons came to the Mainpuri power station in an inebriated condition and pushed our agent out. Police and administration are not helping.

But when the polling party arrived, around 2000 workers were stopped and kept back as reserve because their surname was Yadav. They forget that not only Yadavs but everyone votes for SP.
