Varanasi: The second wave of corona is almost towards its end and in such a situation the research of BHU scientists has come to the fore. The results of this research are shocking. Most of the delta variants of corona virus have been found in Varanasi. Along with this, mutants of South Africa have also been found in research. Now scientists have started researching about the third possible wave and its effect.

130 samples were sequenced

Let us tell you that, when the second wave of Corona started creating an orgy, then the concern of BHU scientists increased and a team of thirty people was prepared. In-depth study of the samples started. Samples were taken from Mirzapur and other districts including Varanasi. 130 samples were sequenced in the study.

Delta variant highest

BHU and CSIR Cellular, CCMB Hyderabad sequenced the genomes of the corona virus variants of Varanasi and surrounding areas, after which the delta variant was found to be the highest in the results.
