With the MG Hector unveil finally taking place, the next big thing will be the MG Hector launchthat is scheduled for June 2019. While the MG Hector production started in April at the company's Halol manufacturing facility in Gujarat, the first MG Hector rollout took place on May 6. The new MG Hector will be available with a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that will make 143 PS and 250 Nm of peak torque. There will also be a 2.0-litre diesel engine that will produce 170 PS and 350 Nm of torque. While the petrol engine will have an option for a DCT apart from the standard 6-speed manual transmission, the diesel motor will come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox only.
