India's batting great and women's ODI captain Mithali Raj has said she is confident of representing the senior national team at the 2021 Women's World Cup. Speaking at India Today Conclave 2019, she said Well, I will definitely give it a shot because, after the 2017 World Cup. Seeing the momentum we have gained after the World Cup, I see myself playing the 2021 World Cup. I want to see India as No.1. 

Speaking at India Today Conclave 2019, Mithali Raj said: "Well, I will definitely give it a shot because, after the 2017 World Cup, the India team is doing well in the ODIs. Out of 6 series, we have won 5 series. So I think, It's credible. Seeing the momentum we have gained after the World Cup, I see myself playing the 2021 World Cup.

The captain added: "I want to see India as No. 1. Twice I have been unlucky, finishing No. 2 at the World Cup."

Mithali Raj, 36, also pointed out that women's cricket in India is on the right track, especially after the 2017 World Cup wherein India finished as the runner-up after an inspiring run in the 50-over tournament. India lost to hosts England in a hard-fought final.
