New DTH regulations have resulted in an overall decrease of TV bills by 25 per cent. Subscribers are witnessing maximum drop of 15 per cent in their TV bills. People in non-metro areas are witnessing savings up to 5-10 per cent. The new regulations were brought into effect for passing on the benefits of digitising the broadcast and cable services sector in India. DTH & cable TV subscribers can still rely on operator.
